Angel Park & Legacy Receive National Recognition in Golf World Business Top 100 Golf Shops

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona:  Scottsdale-based OB Sports Golf Management proudly announces the selection of We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, The Legacy Golf Club and Angel Park Golf Club to Golf World Business’ prestigious list of the 2005 “100 Best Golf Shops.”

We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is in Fort McDowell, AZ, just east of Scottsdale. The Legacy Golf Club and Angel Park Golf Club are located in metro Las Vegas, NV.

Although this was the first year The Legacy received recognition as an elite golf retail operator, Angel Park and We-Ko-Pa were also honored in 2004 by Golf World Business.  Each golf club submitted a package that included a narrative application which described initiatives, successful promotions and processes taken to overcome the past year’s largest challenge. A detailed financial report was submitted to reflect the annual revenue. The facilities also defined how they applied effective marketing practices to maximize revenue. Six photos were included to showcase the merchandise displays and overall layout within the golf shops.

 “Continuing the tradition of being in the “100 Best Golf Shops” validates that each club is a stand-out and so are the innovative ideas and efforts made by the entire staff,” said Phil Green, president of OB Sports.  “They are teams that turn a challenge into an opportunity to learn, grow and share.”

The golf shop merchandising for We-Ko-Pa, The Legacy and Angel Park are spearheaded by OB’s director of retail, Kim Nelson.

“We extend our congratulations to Kim (Nelson). We truly believe she is the best in the industry,” said Green.
